Introducing Akribos Professional Associate, Ms. Felicia Simpson

The Akribos Group is pleased to announce that Ms. Felicia Simpson has joined our team of Professional Associates.  Ms. Simpson is the Partnership Coordinator and Grant Administrator for the College of Education at the University of Alabama. She received her B.S. in Elementary Education from Jacksonville State University, her M.A. in Educational Leadership from the University of Alabama, and completed her White Riley Peterson Fellowship at Furman University in 2016.  She is currently pursuing her Ed.S. in Educational Leadership.  She is the founder of Simpson Consulting Firm, LLC., specializing in grant writing, innovative funding, strategic planning, community involvement, mentoring, and K-12 leadership. Previously, Ms. Simpson has served in school district administration as a Federal Programs Compliance Monitor, Community Education Coordinator, and 21st CCLC Coordinator. In addition, she has been a system Intervention Teacher and taught Kindergarten as a Classroom Teacher. Ms. Simpson has coordinated federal, state and local grants securing over $26 million in funding during the extent of her career.

Previously, she served as the Alabama Community Education Association Past-President, President and Treasurer, served as the CLAS District Coordinator, Alabama Math Science Technology (AMSTI) trainer, a board member at the James M. Barrie Children’s Advocacy Center and served as a board member for the National Organization, Stand for the Silent.  She has received numerous awards including the Outstanding Benefactor Award, the Peggy Spain McDonald “Bright Idea” Award, the Bob Richey G.R.E.E.N Award, and the Charles Stewart Mott Award from the Alabama Community Education Association.   Ms. Simpson coordinated the largest statewide Anti-Bullying Rally in Gadsden, AL., which hosted over 1300 people.  She received the 2014 HERO Award from Auburn University for her efforts in the fight against bullying.

Ms. Simpson contributes her vast success to supportive leadership.  She served in a district that permitted her to be innovative and strategic in acquiring resources to ensure student success. We are pleased to have Ms. Felicia Simpson as a member of our professional team at The Akribos Group!
